May was eventful towards the end. The beginning wasn't too exciting. But still FUN. Kassaundra went over to the Anderson's for a day of adventure and fun and allowing me some me time. They have this cat...
Who has eyebrows and is simply awesome. Whatever was on his fur though idk. Kassaundra's hands/arms were covered in welts after she played with him.
Looking at the river with Papa, and throwing in rocks.
Her favorite spot in their back yard. By the water. She would get in if we let her.
Picking Dandelions
And making wishes
Love this outfit btw.
Cake cookie oreos...from scratch for the boy scout bake sale.
I also made a couple dozen LARGE muffins.
I made apple cinnamon, banana bread, blueberry, raspberry, and mixed berry.
This was just awesome.
My first Afghan I didn't get very good pictures of it.
Edging details
Kassaundra wrapped up in it.
Wool dryer balls in progress. It is amazing how quickly you lose them though.
We went on the AHA walk. Kassaundra feeding "the baby." lol
Giving love to the subway guy. She followed him around everywhere.
She also got to do a bit of rock climbing. She LOVED it. She was a natural.
Happy girl!
Richard's cousin Jimmy got married. We went down to the reception in CT. Kassaundra broke her arm. This is in the ER that night. They kept trying to tell me it was nurses elbow and kept trying to set it. Almost 3 hours later they finally listened to me and splinted it. We went to the bone Dr the next day. After a few more visits and x-rays they still couldn't find the fracture, but they casted it anyway. It was a radial head growth plate fracture. The cast was put on just in time for her birthday. The cast was put on on June 2, 2010.
This is the first splint from the ER. They did a HORRIBLE job and her arm was twisted funny. I don't blame her for making that face. It looked painful to even have to think of having my arm twisted that way. They wouldn't redo it though because our appointment was only a few hours away at that point.
After seeing the real Dr. Much better splint. She learned how to take it off though and kept complaining that it hurt. That was the ultimate reason we decided to cast it. A few weeks in a cast or what could end up being several months in a splint and possible surgery if she didn't keep it in the splint so it would heal.
See much better mood.
We went to our favorite pet shop so she could play with the puppies. I love this place because they treat the animals like family. They make them cozies, they get played with and baths. They are in actual kennels instead of wire bottom cages that mess up their feet. This puppy was special. I wanted to bring her home so bad. She only has three toes. They also thought that she had a heart murmur that she should grow out of.
Kassaundra Loved her so much!
